First I would like to welcome you to Scandinavian Design Center. When I first established the company back in 2002 I had a firm goal of creating an e-commerce platform where everyone can access and buy Scandinavian design interior home decor irrespectively where they live. Today, we serve customers in more than 70 countries on all continents except for South America. It only takes around 4-6 days for a package from Sweden to reach its destination. That is often is a shorter shipping time than a domestic ground transport within the USA.
Why is it a good idea to buy from us? A number of things I would say. First of all I would like to mention our selection of products. We put a lot of work into finding the most representative design products for your home and office. We visit numerous fairs and exhibitions every year. We meet regularly with designers and small producers just to find “the rising star” of tomorrow. Because of that we are able to offer you our unique broad assortment of wonderful home décor and interior products that are hard to find in other stores on the Internet or in a brick and mortar store.
Secondly, quality by all means, is a major focus area for us. You can expect a professional customer service from our skilled and dedicated staff. They always do their utmost to assist you. When you visit our websites you can also rely on the inventory information and expected delivery times you will find which is not always the case in other e-commerce stores.
The Company was founded 2002 by the Entrepreneur Mr Jörgen Bödmar. His background is in the Airline Business where he worked for Scandinavian Airlines for many years. He also owned and worked in an Executive Search company in Sweden.
2002 he started this company that today has twelve employees and an annual turnover 2011 of 30M Swedish kronor. The future looks bright for e-commerce with an expected continuous growth for many years to come.
In order to meet our quality standards we cooperate together with specialists from many countries to sharpen our working processes and improve over time. No detail is too small not to be considered. Our websites are being built with top modern technology. We use secure payment standards, the PCI DSS protocol. Rest assured that your personal information as well as your payment information is being safely handled. I addition to that we scan our websites daily with Symantec/VeriSign technology in order to protect your information.

Britta Palmqvist Hugosson
I´m in charge of the ScandinavianDesignCenter product selection - my ambition is that you´ll find our range of products well planned, exciting and attractive. Since childhood I´ve had a passion for design and architecture - which is why I find great inspiration in my work!
Gun Hellman
I´m the Purchase Manager for ScandinavianDesignCenter. I also work at customer service and care for our German customers . I have a challenging and interesting job that involves many contacts with both suppliers and customers.
Ylva Markstam
I am responsible for marketing at ScandinavianDesignCenter. The aim of my work is for customers worldwide to discover our fantastic range of Scandinavian design products.
Thomas Steinschaden
I’m from Austria and my mother tongue is German. I am responsible for our German webpage – the target ist that our customers get surprised when they recognize that their parcel was sent from Sweden and not from Germany.
Matilda Kvarmo
I work as Art Director at ScandinavianDesignCenter and is responsible for visual communication and graphic design. I design our weekly newsletter, ads and printed materials.
Christina Åstrand
My position is Chief Economist. It is a fun and rewarding position covering everything from all sorts of analysis, monitoring key performance indicators to warehouse logistics.
Sofie Höglander
I work with customer service at ScandinavianDesignCenter. I answer questions about your delivery and provide information about our fine products by mail and telephone. I also handle returns and complaints.
Anna Magnusson
I work with the overall look of our websites which includes uploading, editing and updating texts, images and graphic material. A diverse and inspiring work were my design background is a benefit.
Kicki Carlsson
I'm logistics manager at ScandinavianDesignCenter. I take care of everything from incoming to outgoing orders and goods and make sure that it gets packed and delivered to you. It´s a varied and enjoyable work.
Camilla Öberg
My role at Scandinavian Design Center is to pack customer orders. I also work with the product structure on the website where I update and add products. It is a fun and dynamic work that is constantly changing.
Renata Mikuciauskaite
I work with customer service for our English speaking customers. I help them get the right information about our products and deliveries and take care of their complaints.

I am responsible for incoming deliveries at scandinaviandesigncenter.com. In addition, I work as economy assistant.
