Arabia - over 130 years

Iittala Group, were Arabia is one of the well known brands, is a leading design company in homewares. The products are based on modern Scandinavian design.
The Company has a long and interesting history:
In 1726 Rörstrand was established in Stockholm by order of King Fredrik I.
Rörstrand established the Arabia factory in Helsinki in 1873, in 1876 Hackman established a cutlery factory near Viborg and in 1881 P.M. Abrahamsson established a glass works in the village of Iittala in Finland.
After several fusions and other changes during the twentieth century, the companies was, in 2003, gathered under the name Iittala Oy AB.
