Iittala Group, were Rörstrand is one of the well known brands together with Arabia, Hackman, Iittala, BodaNova, Höganäs Keramik, and Hoyang-Polaris, is a leading design company in homewares. The products are based on modern Scandinavian design.

The Company has a long and interesting history that begins in 1726 when Rörstrand was established in Stockholm by order of King Fredrik I.
The Arabia factory was established in Helsinki in 1873, and Hackman, a cutlery factory near Viborg, in 1876. In 1881 P.M.
Abrahamsson established a glass works in the village of Iittala in Finland.
After several fusions and other changes during the twentieth century, the companies was, in 2003, gathered under the name Iittala Oy AB.

Iittala Group is working with well known designers as Maija Isola, Jonas Bohlin, Alfredo Häberli, Alvar Aalto, Aino Aalto, Tapio Wirkkala, Heikki Orvola, Kati Tuominen-Niittylä, Kaj Franck, Konstantin Grcic, Tapio Wirkkala, Antonio Citterio, Renzo Piano, Carina Seth-Andersson and Björn Dahlström are some of them.
