Stelton

Stelton

Stelton was founded in 1960 with the purpose to create a true line of tableware where correlation of design between the individual items would always ensure harmonious table settings. The result was the world famous Cylinda-Line by Arne Jacobsen, launched in 1967 and immediately attracted considerable attention for its serene and functionalist design.

In 1971 a cooperation with young designer Erik Magnussen was established. His first creation for Stelton was the stainless steel vacuum
jug with the unique rocker stopper, which was introduced in 1977.

Several times Stelton has been awarded the ”ID-prize” by the Danish Design Council and a number of Stelton products are exhibited in a.o. The Museum of Modern Art and The Cooper-Hewitt Museum, New York; Philadelphia Museum of Art; Victoria & Albert Museum and British Museum, London; Staatliches Museum für angewandte Kunst, Munich and Kunstindustrimuseet, Copenhagen.
