How to care for Aida cutlery

Aida’s cutlery is made of stainless steel, which is is a durable, quality material that does not rust easily. Yet, if your Aida cutlery is not cared for properly, with time you might still encounter both stains and rust. Follow these care instructions in order to ensure that your cutlery remains in top condition.

  • Washing your cutlery by hand before your first use is recommended.
  • Rinse your cutlery soon after use in order to avoid rust and staining.
  • Run your dishwasher on a cleaning cycle regularly in order to avoid that your cutlery rusts or stains.
  • Make sure to open the dishwasher as soon as possible to let the moisture out after each wash.
  • Wipe your cutlery dry with a kitchen towel. Leaving them to dry on their own may result in stained cutlery.

What is Aidas approach to sustainability?

Aida’s products are made to last. High quality materials along with smart design methods and innovative designs ensures that Aida’s products will enrich your kitchen and dining experience for a long time to come.

One great example of this is Aida’s placemats produced from 95% recycled leather. The result is an elegant and sustainable placemat that is both resistant to both dirt and water.

The History of Aida

The Danes like to decorate their dinner table with simple, white plates without frills, but it has not always been that way. When Ancher Iversen started his business in 1953, it was impossible to sell plain white porcelain. Therefore, he got the idea to buy excess white porcelain from the post-war period and decorate it with gold. A few years later after the company had grown, they began to produce their own dishes in glass and porcelain as they do today, now under the name of Aida.
