The Finnish brand Hackman was founded in 1790 and is today one of the leading companies in the production of Nordic cutlery. Originally, Hackman was in the timber business, but started producing cutlery in 1876. After a fire destroyed the sawmill in 1897, Hackman started focusing solely on producing cutlery. As of the 1950s, Hackman has ventured in their design and now designs coffee pots, saucepans and other kitchen accessories. Since then Hackman has cooperated with some of the biggest names in Nordic design such as Kaj Franck and Bertel Gardberg, designing classic kitchen interior found in homes all over Scandinavia.
