Rörstrand
Founded in 1726, Rörstrand is one of Sweden’s oldest porcelain manufacturers. From the very beginning, Rörstrand has been synonymous with quality and sound craftsmanship. Rörstrand’s dinnerware has made it to cult status and is handed down through generations. There is no doubt that Rörstrand’s designs are an integral part of Swedish design heritage.

Rörstrand’s biggest success was unarguably the launch of what was originally called “Sweden’s National Service” by Louise Adelborg in 1930. The dinnerware range was later renamed “Swedish Grace”, as which it is still known today. Rörstrand worked with a number of renowned designers throughout the years, such as Signe Persson-Melin, Jonas Bohlin and Monica Förster, but it is only Louise Adelborg who is still referred to as “Rörstrand’s grand old lady”.

However, Swedish Grace is far from the only iconic range that Rörstrand has to show for. In the 1950’s, Marianne Westman designed classics including Picknick and Mon Amie – both of which are still in production today.

Throughout the years, Rörstrand has created both classic and daring porcelain ranges, the most successful of which include Mon Amie, Swedish Grace, Ostindia, Carisma and Filippa K.
