Göran Liljeberg is a photographer and macro photography is his specialty. He also has a passion for butterflies and insects, resulting in a masterful series of pictures with detailed images of bugs and beetles. The vision is to show nature in its true form, with the detail and wide range of colours that nature has to offer.
The insects are borrowed by Göran Liljeberg from various museums and collections in Stockholm to be photographed in his own studio. He uses the technology of macro photography, which means shooting extreme close-ups. Initially the pictures were used in different fact books but in recent years they have also begun to be used in various interior settings, such as paintings.
Göran Liljeberg prints all images on matte 200 grams paper with an 11-colour pigment ink, giving a tremendous colour and durability that exceeds traditional offset printing. This process is a real craft and produces exceptional photo art!
