Design by Susanne Schjerning
Susanne Schjerning creates colourful, distinctive patterns that are definitely not easy to miss. Nordic nature is a recurring theme that incorporates images such as galloping horses, Japanese cherry trees, flowers, butterflies and birds.

The Danish textile designer Susanne Schjerning has been creating textiles for over 15 years. In 1999 she graduated from Denmark’s Design college and since then she has worked both from her own design studio and with different brands. In collaboration with Rikki Tikki Company in 2003, she designed oilcloths and other soft furnishings with her exuberant and atmospheric patterns.

All designs are drawn by hand and then push technology silk screen printing is used to complete the process. Susanne Schjerning tests different colour combinations several times before the final product can be put into production. Her pattern creation and technique is an impressive craft!
