Whisk – A Practical and Functional Tool

A whisk can come in many different shapes and materials and has many uses in the kitchen. Whisks are often used for whipped cream or egg whites, but also for mixing sauces and doughs. With us, you'll find balloon whisks from well-known brands.

Which Whisk is the Best?

Which whisk is the best depends on the situation and who is using it. There are different types of whisks that are better suited for certain tasks than others. The most common is called a balloon whisk, but we also offer spiral whisks and milk frothers, like the Bodum milk frother.

Which Type of Whisk Should You Use?

As mentioned earlier, whisks are very versatile. It can therefore be helpful to have a little overview of what different whisks are best suited for.

A balloon whisk has large loops that create air bubbles when you whisk, making it suitable for mixing dough or whipping cream. Flat whisks and whisks with smaller loops are better suited for whisking desserts or egg whites.

Why Use a Milk Frother?

A milk frother is also a type of whisk that is often electric, but not necessarily. Such a device is used to froth milk to the right consistency. The milk can then be used to create, for example, a delicious cappuccino.

What Size Should a Whisk Be?

A classic whisk is about 30 cm (about 12 inches) long, but there are also longer and shorter models for containers of different sizes. We offer larger whisks and whisks in standard size, but if you're looking for a small whisk, we have those as well, of course.

What Material is a Whisk Made Of?

Most whisks are made of stainless steel, but there are also whisks made of silicone and plastic that are better suited for pots and pans with non-stick coating.
